Holly Hunter is a well-known American actress also known as a producer, director and actress. Her work has been recognized for movies like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards, like an Oscar for her role in the film Piano. Her career began acting as an actress both on Broadway and Off Broadway. She has always had an interest in acting from the time she started school. The first time she appeared in a production in fifth grade was Helen Keller. In the fifth grade, after having mumps she lost hearing in her left ear. However, she did not allow that to stop her. While in college, she took classes in theatre and then moved from Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, to New York City in pursuit of her dream. Through a random encounter, she was stuck in an elevator with writer Beth Henley and the two collaborated in the Broadway Crimes of the Heart that made Hunter's debut. The first time she appeared in a film was after she relocated from Los Angeles. Since her time in Los Angeles she has appeared in many films, TV shows and movies. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actress and won Women in Film Lucy Award.
